The PebbleCreek Pickleball Club is hosting a Holiday Toy Drive on Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The PebbleCreek Pickleball Club, with almost 1,600 members, was very busy in November. The club held its first of several in-house PebbleCreek tournaments with 72 teams playing in the mixed doubles tournament. Held on Nov. 1, there was great play all day, with each team playing eight to nine games. In the end, the following are our gold, silver, and bronze winners:

The club will hold similar PebbleCreek tournaments on Dec. 8 and 9 for both the women and men’s doubles teams. All of the community is welcome to come over and watch some (really, really) good and exciting pickleball.
Annual Fall Kick-Off Fandango. On Nov. 6 our club held its Annual Fall Kick-Off Fandango. Enjoying the evening were 279 members and guests who enjoyed a great dinner and then danced the night away. The club is grateful to Roy Johnson Realty for providing the live music from Outside the Line Band.
Toys for Goodyear Kids Social December 3. For our next big event, we are inviting all of PebbleCreek to join in our annual PebbleCreek Pickleball Club Toy Drive for children in the Goodyear community. Each year there are many children who do not receive toys for their holiday celebrations. Christmas is a great time to help those children. This year has been an exceptionally difficult year, and we’d like to support those families who need our help. Can you join us in helping the City of Goodyear provide Christmas trees with ornaments, Christmas dinners, toys, and clothes that the children and their families need this year? We’d love to have your support. On Dec. 3 between 9 a.m. and noon, please help by bringing an unwrapped toy to add to our Train of Joy. We are also accepting checks payable to the City of Goodyear that will be donated to the city’s Fill-The-Need Christmas programs.

Club Events. With the start of the winter schedule, the club offers 27 different events every week. Monday through Friday afternoons have various round robins; Thursday and Friday mornings have men and women’s ladder play; and on the weekends the courts host various round robins, beginner classes, and skills and strategies sessions.
