The 7:00 and 10:00 a.m. Water Fitness classes of Carol Horan and Sue White celebrated Mardi Gras by dressing in waterproof beads, masks and many special hats. A couple of participants were seen wearing dreadlocks with a wool cap—who were they?

A fun day was planned with challenging games of bicycle built for two rides, seated chair challenges, a train ride with many stops and many other games.

Both of these classes use the same equipment, water weights and aqua bars. The equipment is purchased by the participants. Both classes are on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays. The 7:00 a.m. class is in the inside Tuscany pool and the 10:00 a.m. class is outside at the Tuscany Pool.

The class helps participants improve agility, balance and coordination and targets all the major muscle groups. In addition the class includes tAQUATa or HIIT, high intensity interval training. Participants blast away with a variety of exercises thereby burning calories and increasing their resting metabolic rate. If your goal is muscle tone, weight loss, cross training or just some fun, come and join us.

As the water provides buoyancy, power moves can be done with little or no impact to joints. The water also provides added resistance.

This class is ideal for those who have had past knee or hip injuries or replacements.

We look forward to you joining us in the pools!
