Volunteers Wanted to Raise Funds for Kids in Foster Care

Nancy Christman

Many of us want to help children. Many of us want to volunteer our time, skills, and talent to a worthwhile cause. Many of us have quality items sitting in our closets, garages, storage units, or we know people who do.

You can make a difference in children’s lives by volunteering to help AASK (Aid to Adoption of Special Kids). This is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to serving Arizona’s 13,000 plus children in foster care.

Let’s do something to help these children. In order to do that, let’s explore the interest level of folks in our community to plan, organize, donate, collect quality items, and execute a silent auction fundraiser with the proceeds going to AASK.

This endeavor will take ideas, time, organization, and coordination. It will begin with an AASK spokesperson coming to educate us about this non-profit and determining if there are enough of us to make this happen. Please send an email to [email protected] to share your contact information. We can then arrange an interest level meeting to determine next steps.

Thank you for your help.
