“Sold Out” Unit 46 Happy Hour

Spike Razem

What a good way to celebrate the completion of all Unit 46’s 74 sales lots!

Although construction continues on the final few remaining houses, all of our lots are sold, all owners names are known, and our extensive Unit Directory is now complete—Hooray!

On Sept. 25, 23 Unit 46 residents gathered on the patio at Westwind Tavern to enjoy our celebratory Monthly Happy Hour. The warm summer weather appeared to subside as a signal that the fall season was approaching. Outside patio partying was in full gear as residents grabbed a drink from the bar and were able to exchange stories about their summer activities and vacation highlights along with updates on new neighbor happenings.

A big THANKS to event organizers Susan Gildea and Unit Coordinator, Vicky Ferraresi.

Although Vicky and hubby Chuck were not in attendance, apparently they did raise a glass to remotely celebrate from “beautiful cool Colorado.”

Again, congrats to Unit 46 who within 3 years are sold out and now complete.

With snowbirds beginning to return, the future is bright as a full Unit 46 continues the fun times in PebbleCreek!

Unit 46 Men Enjoy Breakfast

Spike Razem

The third Wednesday of each month features the Men of Unit 46 gathering for an enjoyable breakfast at Eagle’s Nest Restaurant. We’ve found that the food, service, and atmosphere are always excellent for this event.

On Sept. 16, 11 guys shared two tables and properly discussed always-important topics such as various health issues, summer vacations, weather changes, sports teams, golf games, etc.

Most likely with October’s breakfast, the group will return to patio dining with expectations of cooler temps and the return of more snowbird neighbors.

It’s always fun getting together each month!

Unit 49A Social Committee has already planned events for October through April of next year! We are looking forward to a “Welcome Back” get–together for all our neighbors who have been traveling this summer and to welcome all our new residents. We look forward to outings to Turf Paradise, Arizona Broadway Theater, and a Cactus League game in the new year. However, the most fun could be had playing our own versions of bocce ball and “The Amazing Race!”

Unit 51 Luncheon

Pizza, pasta, and salads were among the entrees enjoyed by 10 Unit 51 ladies during their October luncheon at Babbo’s. Hostess Pat Jensen did a lovely job of decorating the tables with fall foliage and pumpkin candles, while providing her guests with a bag of chocolate treats. As always, it was nice to catch up with the neighbor friends we hadn’t seen in a while and we’re all looking forward to our future get-togethers.

Unit 62A September Happy Hour

Laurie Wyman hosted the September 62A Happy Hour on Sept. 24 at 6 p.m., with a slightly later start time to give everyone a little relief from the September heat! Laurie usually hosts our happy hours in her enormous garage, but with a smaller group this time, they moved the gathering inside her lovely home.

As always, everyone brought an appetizer to share along with their beverage of choice. Whether the group is big or small, these happy hours are always a wonderful way to relax, catch up with friends and neighbors, and enjoy some great conversation and plenty of laughs.

It was another fun evening with good food, good drinks, and even better company. That’s what makes our 62A happy hours so special!

Those attending were Jody and John McCrickard, Teresa Schaefer and Jamison Storoschuck, Judy Meservey, Tom and Jackie MacKenzie, Vic and Marilyn Coates, Steve Gonzales and Laurie Wyman (hostess). Not pictured are Pat Gonzales and Gary Bomar.

Unit 62A September Shenanigans

On Sept. 14, the gals of Unit 62A gathered at the home of Julie Greenbank for an evening of fun, laughter, and a little friendly gift-stealing competition—otherwise known as September Shenanigans!

Each gal was instructed to arrive with five wrapped treasures—anything from cute and clever to downright hilarious! The shopping mission included favorite bargain-hunting spots like Dollar Tree, Five Below, Hobby Lobby, and Target, with a total budget of approximately $10–$20.

But the real fun began when the gifts were wrapped and the games got underway! Games and a little luck determined who got to choose which mystery package. There was plenty of curiosity, laughter, and a few “Oh, I hope I get that one!” moments along the way.

With good friends, great laughs, and five mystery gifts apiece, it was an evening filled with fun, surprises, and just the right amount of shenanigans.
