Unit 27D Get Together
Robin Macik
It has been a while, but 20 ladies from Unit 27D got together at Eagle’s Nest on March 11. There were a few friends who have lived in the unit for a while and some new faces as well. The unit is hoping to have a get together each month.

Another fun luncheon for the ladies of Unit 51 was held on March 12. Sixteen of us enjoyed gathering at Papa Paul’s Italian restaurant in Litchfield Park. Though the coronavirus frenzy had just started about that time, there was no fear in getting together for conversation, laughs, and good food, especially since our March hostess, Sandra Adams, brought along sanitizing wipes for us all to use. Considering the closures that have occurred in the week between our outing and my writing this, we’re unsure when our next luncheon will be, but we hope everyone stays well. We are very grateful that we are a part of such a caring unit and community!
PebbleCreek Unit 52 Ladies Luncheon March 11

The Unit 52 Ladies Who Lunch enjoyed a wonderful lunch and chat time at Papa Paul’s Brick Oven Pizza and Pasta on March 11. It was a new restaurant for most of us and we found it delightful. It’s located near the Wigwam in Litchfield Park.
Many thanks to Ester Eisler for organizing the event.
Little did we realize then that it would be the last of our unit get-togethers for some time. As with everyone, our upcoming luncheons and social events have been cancelled until further notice. We just wish health to our fellow PebbleCreekers and look forward to when we all return to normal.

Unit 58 Breakfast Group
Ed Raker
On Feb. 21, the men of Unit 58’s breakfast group convened for its monthly get-together, this time at the Eagle’s Nest dining room. It was a large group, and included new members Jim Roemer, Alan Krob, Stan Sharp, and Dennis Roelker. As usual, it was another meeting about nothing. It was a chance to socialize with friends and neighbors, tell a few lies, and give a good ribbing to one another. We enjoyed the camaraderie, good food, and the usual excellent service provided by Joshua Pollard and his team of servers.
As is our practice, we collected clothing to donate to the homeless by way of Banner Thunderbird drug treatment unit, which has been our charity of choice. Member Bill Mooberry deserves thanks for coordinating this effort for us.
Sadly though, the closure of the PebbleCreek dining facilities coupled with the coronavirus outbreak resulted in no such meeting in March. It also makes it difficult to schedule a successive event in April and maybe even May. We will certainly regroup as soon as circumstances allow.
