Unit 44 Provides Generous Food Donation
Spike Razem
Thanks to the kindness of Unit 44 residents, on Dec. 23, a significant Christmas donation of non-perishable food was delivered to St. John Vianney’s food pantry.
Helping to collect and deliver their “wagon-full” of food was unit representative Scott Crabtree and Spike Razem. Unit 44 is located near the model village and is one of PebbleCreek’s newest neighborhoods. Although many homes are still under construction, the current residents showed excellent participation and kind-hearted generosity in helping needy families less fortunate than us.
Thanks again to Unit 44, and best wishes for many more successful activities and fundraisers in the future.
Unit Contacts Group Needs Volunteers
Janet Miazga
After this past year, did you realize that you have a few open hours per month that you would like to contribute to our PebbleCreek community? A very important and necessary PebbleCreek group is currently looking for volunteers. Perhaps this would satisfy your desire to help out! The time invested will be minimal, but the results will be huge. Please consider giving your time to contribute to the community.
Volunteers are needed to help complete the ranks of the Unit Contacts Group. Formerly unit reps, these men and women are an active group of volunteers willing to serve their neighbors and their community. Their responsibilities include being the one person their residents can count on to hold their unit together. They are to maintain an up-to-date unit directory and email address list (a current/complete unit resident listing provided upon start); welcome new residents and introduce them to their neighbors; relay information between the HOA board/management and their residents via email (provided by group coordinator); and, if so desired, oversee planning of social events for their unit.
It would be very helpful to have a volunteer in every unit who is willing to serve in the role of unit contact. Out of 64 units, 25% are currently without a contact person, so that means many residents are missing out on noteworthy information, and multiple newcomers are not being welcomed properly to their new homes. The units in need of a volunteer include units 1, 1A, 11, 14, 16, 17, 23, 24, 26, 27C (lots 121-144, 214-283), 30, 31, 36, 37, 39, and 48. If you are a resident of any of these units and are interested in hearing more about what this volunteer role involves, email Janet Miazga, unit 51 contact and Unit Contacts Group coordinator, at [email protected]. It would certainly be great if all of our community units had a volunteer contact!
Many thanks go out to all of those residents who have given their time in the past or currently do serve as a unit contact. Your participation is greatly appreciated by the residents of PebbleCreek. Let’s try to find volunteers for those units without a unit contact!
