Did you know that Agua Fria High School has students who are homeless? The school is making an effort to help these students by operating a small food and clothing bank during the lunch period that they call the Owl Closet. The mascot is the owl and their sports teams are known as the Agua Fria Owls. The Women’s Giving Circle (TWGC) collected more than 100 hoodie sweatshirts for the students at Agua Fria High School, which is actually more than the school can use. The collection of hoodies was shared with the Agua Fria Food and Clothing Bank to be used in their Christmas bags. TWGC advocates for and facilitates philanthropic support of organizations in the West Valley. If you’re interested in joining our mission, contact Lori Dougherty at anonbill@outlook.com.
