Two PebbleCreek trap shooters from one family earned trophies at the 15th Robson Trap Trials held March 14 at Tucson Trap & Skeet. Vicki Ray came in first in women’s best of field and Greg Ray was PebbleCreek’s top shooter. PebbleCreek has five trap couples who shoot for fun and contend in leagues and competitions.

The friendly battle for trap-shooting supremacy began the day before the Trap Trials as partakers from PebbleCreek fought their way to Tucson through high winds and dangerous dust storms. After a tranquil dinner together and the dust up behind them, the group was relaxed and ready to compete the next morning.

Quail Creek, 2025 host, extends a special thanks to Cynthia Nunn for data entry and Greg Ray for developing the scoring program used for the competition. PebbleCreek thanks Mike Schoenle for scoring.

The yearly event gathers trap shooters representing Robson communities across Arizona. The top five individual scores from each community determine a community score and a winning community. Robson Ranch was this year’s winning community and will host the competition in 2026.
