Well, okay. No bears actually. But let’s start with the traffic light at PebbleCreek Parkway and Clubhouse Drive.
The City of Goodyear has installed left turn arrows for traffic in all four directions. This is an excellent safety measure for our motorists and certainly something that many residents and the HOA have been asking for. We had thought this would take place at the end of the summer so we were surprised and delighted when city crews began installing the lights in early May. We normally like to give some advance notice about these events but in this case are happy to see the turn arrows being installed. As a result of these new signal lights, the city requested the HOA to designate a left turn only lane coming out of Eagle’s Nest. It is exactly the same lane that everyone has been using to make their left turns since it was built. Now, however, that lane can ONLY be used as a left turn lane. Please continue to drive carefully in this high traffic area.
Stop signs: The project to install four-way stop signs at Clubhouse Drive and 161st Drive is on schedule and work should be beginning in early June; maybe even as you are reading this. In addition to the four-way stop signs, we will be adding marked crosswalks as well. The Tuscany Falls sign on the northeast corner is also going to be moved slightly to allow better visibility.
Remember, please drive 25 and stop at those stop signs.
