Are you ready to get your groove on? There’s a new West Coast Swing Dance Club starting October 17, so dust off your dance shoes and join the fun.
West Coast Swing is a partner dance with roots in the Lindy Hop. It is characterized by an elastic look that results from its extension-compression technique of partner connection and is danced primarily in a slotted area on the dance floor.
We will be offering free dance lessons every Thursday from 4:00-5:00 p.m. (beginner) and 5:00-6:00 p.m. (intermediate) in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. Singles and couples are welcome. You don’t need a partner. In fact, we encourage you to dance with someone other than your own partner because this is a lead and follow dance.
If you are interested in more information regarding the club, please contact Roberta Diles at [email protected] or Denise McQuaid at [email protected].
See you on the dance floor!
