Members of The Women’s Giving Circle (TWGC) of PebbleCreek attended the second annual Wine and Chocolate event on the evening of Dec. 9. This fundraising event supports the Southwest Family Advocacy Center (SWFAC) in their efforts to benefit child and adult victims of abuse. SWFAC is dedicated to reducing the stress and trauma of victims through a multi-discipline collaboration. This Goodyear facility brings together professionals in law enforcement (Goodyear, Buckeye, and Avondale Police Departments and MCSO), child protection, prosecution, mental health, medical, and victim advocacy to collaborate on investigation, treatment, management, and prosecution of child abuse, sexual assault, domestic, and elder abuse cases. The Wine and Chocolate fundraiser event included speeches, drinks, snacks, and music, as well as tours of the facility and opportunities to financially support the center.

Before the event, members of The Women’s Giving Circle gathered at the home of the club president, Willa Kravitz, so that the newly formed group could become better acquainted.

In TWGC upcoming news: If you are a golfer and playing Jan. 11, please remember to bring donations of menstrual products (maxi pads, thin pads, regular tampons, super absorbency tampons, panty liners) that will go to Go With The Flow.
