Thank you to the generous people who brought a toy, gift card, or cash to the area across from the Activities Center on Dec. 7. You made the toy drive a huge success! The Goodyear Fire Department partnered with the city of Goodyear for the community Fill-A-Need program to collect and distribute donations to help community children and their families during the holidays.
Many toys for all ages were collected, and more than $1,600 in cash, checks, and gift cards will go a long way toward bringing a smile to a child this season!
A free raffle took place, and the $100 gift certificate winners were Becky Rio, Karen Harper, and Connie Clark. The photography session donated by Ruth Walsh went to Sue Powell.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated and to all the firefighters for volunteering! We hope you had happy holidays!
