Amy Volstromer

The Irish American Club would like to thank everyone involved in the 15th Annual Irish American Charity Golf Tournament held on March 3. It was a very successful event thanks to all those who participated. The planning for this event is months in the making and takes many volunteers both on and off the course. We sincerely thank each one of you and especially, this year’s Chair, Greg Roth and Co-Chair, Gary Magnusson, and their committee, Susan Gleason, Culver Stone, Susan Harris, Brad Hansen, Rhae Jean Magnuson, and Sandra Hand, along with their team of hard-working volunteers. There are many volunteers that are not in the spotlight but are the backbone of this event and we thank you as well.

What would the tournament be though, without our golfers? Thank you to all the golfers who participated in the 18-hole and 9-hole tournaments and attended the brand new this year, Calcuttayour participation is what makes this event so successful every year. The PebbleCreek Irish American Club has a commitment to help our community thrive and grow. Our charitable giving began early on in the club’s inception. In 2009 we held our first charitable golf tournament. Over the history of the club, we have surpassed six figures in charitable giving to Millennium High School student scholarships and local nonprofits. Because of each of you, we’ve been able to raise significant funds for Millennium High School student scholarships and local nonprofits. We’ll be sharing final results of this year’s tournament in a future article.
