The Pub Nite Trivia season ended with a bang last month with team “Quizzlers” taking home top honors as Pub Nite Trivia Champs of the Season, with team “Mentalists” close behind as runner-ups. Throughout the months of December through April, teams racked up points for their combined knowledge of the trivial from marketing slogans to Oscar winners, from famous cats to all things London, from TV sitcoms to fictional homes.
Pub Nite Trivia sessions drew over 270 participants each week. Team names indicated the composition of the team members. There were the “Behind the 8 Ball,” “The Quizzards of Oz,” ”Wait, What?,” “Why Knows,” “Bright Lites,” “Forgetful 8,” and “Can’t Remember %$!@^%#” to mention a few. Each night prizes were awarded, though the true motivation to attend each session was the guaranteed laughs that happened each night.
While the Pub Nite Trivia season has ended (to return in December), the fun and games continue. Watch for the return of the Summertime TV Dinners on the third Thursdays of May, June, July and August. These audience participation games are always well attended and great fun.
