The Thaddeus Rose Band will again lead the festivities at the Chapter Q dance fundraiser on Oct. 24 in the Tuscany Clubhouse. Tickets will go on sale Sept. 23, Sept. 24, and Oct. 3 at the kiosk in Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse. Put it on your calendar!
Chapter Q held their Founder’s Day event at a park in Casa Grande along with members from Chapter P and Chapter J from Tucson. Bags were packed with goodies for our campers. Games were played and a delicious lunch was provided. Chapter Q also met with Chapter P for a social event in the Capri room.
The 4th grade girls from Heritage Elementary in Glendale who will attend camp this summer have been chosen. We met with the girls at their school, and then a Meet and Greet attended by parents, siblings and teachers was held in the evening. We showed them all the items that will be purchased by us for their camp experience, and everyone enjoyed pizza and dessert. We will take the campers shopping for clothing and other personal items on May 14. This is always a fun experience for members and campers alike!
T.T.T. members meet throughout the year in the PC Clubhouse, and hold a yearly fundraiser to be able to help the girls chosen by their teachers to go to Girl Scout camp for a week in the summer. We also meet with the girls throughout the year, and we keep in touch with the girls who attended camp in the past while they are still at Heritage.
For over 100 years, the T.T.T., which stands for Time, Talent and Treasures, has been dedicated to helping girls attend camp, which we feel is a great place for girls to stretch their abilities, to build self-confidence and learn to see the wider world.
