T.T.T. campers ready for a life changing event

Laurie Overson

We are delighted to show you our 2017 campers getting ready to leave for a wonderful week at camp last month. The camp experience is life-changing for these girls! For some, it is the first time they are away from home and that can be a scary proposition for a 10 year old. They may be shy and withdrawn when they leave for camp, but when they return they are so chatty and happy that it’s hard to believe these are the same girls. They have made new friends, experienced new activities and learned that they could accomplish things they never dreamed of.

We have so appreciated your support of our past fundraisers and we hope we can count on you again this year. Our annual poinsettia sale will be coming up in October. You can purchase your plants through any T.T.T. Chapter AZ-P member. Also, we will be at the Eagle’s Nest ticket kiosk each week in October. Our September article will contain more details about the sale.

T.T.T. is a national organization of women that was formed in 1911 for the specific purpose of enabling underprivileged fourth-grade girls to attend accredited summer camps. Even over a century ago, the positive life-changing effects of camp were realized and many T.T.T. campers have grown up to become T.T.T. members so that they can help other girls to have the wonderful experience they had. If you would like to learn more about membership in T.T.T. please contact our Membership Chairman Cathi Hollis at 935-4856.
