It’s time to play games as the summertime hit “TV Dinners” returns on Thursday, May 16, in the TF Ballroom and continues thereafter on the third Thursday of the month in June, July and August. Tickets for the May dinner go on sale May 1, at $20. These fun-filled evenings brought to you by your Recreation, Activities and Food & Beverage departments, will provide you a buffet dinner and the opportunity to meet some of your fellow summer Creekers, while becoming part of the after-dinner entertainment. Yes, following dinner, all attendees become part of the fun as contestants on a different TV game show each month.
“It’s all about getting out of the house, meeting new people, eating and having fun,” says Melissa Kallett, Director of Recreation and emcee of the night. “Folks can come alone, as a couple, or with a group of their friends. When you buy your ticket at the EN Activities office, we’ll assign you a seat and encourage camaraderie with your tablemates for the night. At the end of the night, diners will leave having met new friends and having had a good laugh from all the fun.”
The ticket price of $20 includes cost of meal, tip, tax and prize fund. They can be purchased at the EN Activities office Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Each month the ballroom will open for bar service at 5:30 p.m., with dinner buffet at 6:00 p.m. and TV Game Show at 7:00 p.m.
The first TV Dinner will feature a modified version of The Match Game selected contestants trying to match minds with the entire audience. Dinner menu on the 16th will be chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, veggie medley and salad, with assorted pies for dessert. Attendees needing gluten free, or other special need meals need specify when purchasing their ticket.
Mark your calendar and plan to attend this summer happening! The June TV Game Show will be PebbleCreek’s Got Talent, in July Lyrical Lyrics and in August the emcee’s choice of a game yet to be determined.
