The snowbirds may have left town, but the summer fun is just getting started! Mark your calendar for Tuesdays, June 17, July 15 and August 12 and plan to join your neighbors at the ever popular and entertaining TV Dinners which return after a year’s absence. These fun filled evenings brought to you by your Recreation, Activities and Food & Beverage departments will provide you a buffet dinner and the opportunity to meet some of your fellow summer Creekers while becoming part of the after dinner entertainment. Yes, all attendees become part of the after dinner fun as contestants on a different TV Game Show each month.
“It’s all about getting out of the house, meeting new people, eating and having fun,” says Melissa Kallett, director of recreation. “Folks can come alone, as a couple or with a group of their friends. When you buy your ticket at the Eagle’s Nest Activities office we’ll assign you a seat at a large community table to encourage camaraderie for the night. At the end of the night diners will leave having met new friends and having had a good laugh from all the fun.”
Tickets are $15 (includes cost of meal, tip and tax) and can be purchased at the Eagle’s Nest Activities office Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Each month the ballroom will open for bar service at 5:30 p.m. with dinner buffet at 6:00 p.m. and TV Game Show at 7:00 p.m. Upon arrival the hostess will seat you and provide a contestants form for each diner to complete and drop in the Contestants Box. It is from this box that contestants’ names will randomly be drawn at 7:00 p.m. to participate in that night’s TV Game Show.
The first TV Dinner is Tuesday, June 17 and the Game Show will be Let’s Ask America. “It will be just like the TV show with contestants predicting how America responded to assorted multiple choice questions about fun and irreverent topics.” We’d love to fill the ballroom and hope people come out and support this fun activity,” says Patti Wegehaupt of the Activities Office. The June TV Dinner will be held in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom and the buffet items include Caesar Salad, garlic breadsticks, pasta, Alf- redo and marinara Sauce, meatballs, sliced chicken and dessert.
Mark your calendar and plan to attend this summer happening! The July TV Game Show will be Majority Rules and in August The Match Game. Tickets for each dinner go on sale a month prior to the event. Questions can be directed to Patti at the Activities Office 535-9854 or Melissa, recreation director, at 935-6743.
