“You don’t want to miss PebbleCreek’s state party of the year…the Colorado Party on March 19,” said Cheryl Murphy, the 2018 Colorado party co-chair. “During our ‘Rockin’ the Rockies’ party, we will have costume and dance contests, take a trip down memory lane as we remember our favorite music of the era played by our very own PebbleRock Band.”
The PebbleRock Band will be featuring tunes from the ’50s and ’60s.
“We encourage you to dig out your bobby sox, poodle skirts and saddle shoes for an evening of rock and roll,” said Murphy. ‘Because we have sold out this party for the last two years, we have relocated it to the Tuscany Falls Ballroom and can accommodate more rock and rollers.”
The party will begin at 5:00 p.m. on March 19 at the Tuscany Ballroom. Attendees will enjoy cocktails while playing “Meet a fellow Coloradoan.” A delicious dinner buffet will start at 6:00 p.m. followed by music, contests and dancing.
“This year we will be featuring ‘Mile High Squares’, similar to an office football pool,” said Suki Fitzgerald, party co-chair. “Participants will have the opportunity to win prizes such as weekend getaways, rounds of golf, bottles of unique wine and gift certificates.”
To sign up, send an email to Cheryl Murphy at [email protected] and request a form. Send the form to Suki Fitzgerald at 3689 N 150th Lane or drop your checks and forms in the box by Suki’s front door. The cost for the evening is $35 per person.
Come to the Colorado Party and get your groove on!
Idaho – Oregon
Are you from Oregon or Idaho? Did you live in Portland when you were seven? Was your grandmother raised in Twin Falls? How about that time you camped along the McKenzie River or skied at Mt. Bachelor? Whatever your connection to Oregon or Idaho, you’ll soon have the chance to rub elbows with others who have similar stories.
The annual Idaho-Oregon State Party will be held on Sunday, April 8 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Sunrise Park at Eagle’s Nest. Entry fee? None!
Bring your chair, your beverage and an appetizer to share. Plates, napkins and utensils will be provided.
This annual event always provides time for lots of fun conversations and opportunities to make new friends. Who knows? You may find that the kid who used to play ball with you in the empty lot at the end of the street is now your neighbor here in PebbleCreek!
Oh, and bone up on your Oregon and Idaho state facts. There may be a pop quiz!
