Spotlight On Residents: Linda A. Watters Elected to the Foresters Financial Board of Directors

Foresters Financial, headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, has announced that Linda A. Watters has been elected to a four-year term on the fraternal life insurer’s board of directors and will serve on the Risk and Investment, Human Capital and Governance, and Fraternal Committees.

Ms. Watters is finishing her tenure as a director of John Hancock Life Insurance Company USA, where she is a member of the Investment and Audit Committees. She is also a director at Aging of America, dba The Village Plan. She is a past director of Detroit Commerce Bank, John Hancock Trust Company, and of publicly traded United American Healthcare Corporation, where she served on the Finance and Audit Committees.

Ms. Watters holds an Executive Master Professional Director Certification in Director Governance from the American College of Corporate Directors (ACCD) and is a member of the Pacific Southwest Chapter of NACD and Women Corporate Directors (WCD).

She is currently a member of The Executive Leadership Council (ELC), the preeminent member organization for global Black leaders.

Ms. Watters earned her M.B.A. from the University of Dayton and B.A. in business administration/economics from Bowling Green State University. She was awarded a Leadership in the 21st Century certificate from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government Executive Education Program.

Ms. Watters and her husband, Ronald Watters, reside in Tuscany Falls in Unit 43A.
