Jay Sukman
Since the turn of the 20th century, the Sukman name has been associated with quality home furnishings. Grandpa Joseph Sukman crossed the Atlantic from his native Austria and made Jersey City, New Jersey his home. Upholstery hammer in hand, Joseph set out to fulfill his dream of owning his own shop. His craftsmanship was unsurpassed. His reputation and his business grew. The year was 1914.
Lured by Arizona’s beautiful weather, Joseph’s son David, and his wife Charlotte, moved their family and business to the Valley of the Sun, Phoenix, Arizona. By introducing a design staff, opening a drapery workroom and initiating discount pricing, Sukman’s continued to grow.
In the late 1960s our company began decorating homes in the original Sun City, Arizona retirement community. This was the beginning of a long, enjoyable relationship servicing many of the adult communities throughout Arizona, including the Robson communities of Sun Lakes, SaddleBrooke, and PebbleCreek. Now Joseph’s grandson Jay is carrying on the family business.
I am very proud to provide timeless innovative design to my PebbleCreek clients. Through my many years of working in the PebbleCreek community I truly appreciate the people and the lifestyle. Having decorated more than 700 homes in PebbleCreek and countless more in other parts of the Valley, I have developed a keen understanding of how to fulfill your decorating desires.
Sukman’s Interiors’ wide selection of affordable home furnishings are selected and ordered, especially for each of our client’s unique desires. We can coordinate window treatments, floor coverings and furniture to suit your individual tastes.
Since Grandpa’s time, thousands of homes have been furnished, windows have been draped, floors covered and furniture reupholstered; but one thing has never changed, our family’s passion for quality.
