Each year, Valley of the Sun Skiers (VSSC) members enjoy trips to some of the best ski areas in the West, and on Feb. 23, thirty-three members, including three PebbleCreekers, flew to Salt Lake City and enjoyed a short, scenic drive through the Wasatch Mountains to Park City in preparation for a week of skiing. What a difference a couple of weeks made; on the earlier trip to Beaver Creek, skiers encountered some challenging cold and windy conditions, but on this trip, they were treated to beautiful blue skies, sun, and comfortable temperatures. Although they didn’t get to experience Utah powder, they did enjoy great conditions at Canyons, Park City, and Deer Valley. The hotel provides shuttle service to the ski areas, but Park City also has a great city bus system, which provides frequent access, free of charge. PebbleCreek doesn’t have a ski club, but VSSC is open to all skiers and provides an opportunity to ski and socialize with other active adults with similar interests. The current season is over, but mark your calendar for Nov. 5 and visit the club website at https://vsscskiclub.com/ for more information and dinner reservation forms.
