PebbleCreek resident Carol Smail was the guest speaker at PebbleCreek Singles Sept. 7 meeting. Carol is the owner of Caring Visits. She specializes in home care for the elderly who have very little family support if any. Her 18 employees include the Singles Club Vice President Jim Staude.
Services offered include home care, household chores, medical assistance, companionship (playing cards, sharing a meal, or just driving them to the grocery store). Also, transportation is provided for medical and dental appointments. It was an exceptionally moving presentation.
Prior to the program a letter was read from this year’s philanthropic project, Pet Companions Club of PebbleCreek, acknowledging receipt of the club’s bi-yearly donation of $495. Money for this project is derived from the club’s 50/50 drawing and personal donations.
At the meeting’s completion, 26 members dined at one of Goodyear Square’s newest restaurants, High Tide, which specializes in seafood. The food was outstanding, and everyone left with people bags in tow. Come join the fun! Meetings are the first Sunday of each month at 2:30 p.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom.
