The Passover holiday does not require a fast, but it does require Jews abstain from eating bread for eight days. Matzoh is very appealing at the start of the holiday (especially with butter and salt) but by the end of the week everyone is tired of it and longs for something leavened.
To celebrate, the Shalom club will hold a “Breaking Passover Pizza Party” on April 10 at the Oasis Pool. Pizza, with its various toppings, is particularly appealing after the holiday. The party is open to members at a cost of $10 per person.
Also in April, the Frumkins will host an ice cream social for club members on April 12, and the monthly meeting will be Sunday, April 19.
Are you interested in what the Shalom Club is doing? As is the case with all PebbleCreek (PC) clubs, the Shalom Club is open to all PC residents, regardless of religion, who have an interest in Jewish heritage and social activities.
