Shalom Club has 20th anniversary celebration

Brenda Hyman

23 skidoo, all that jazz, Charleston, flappers and gangsters! What a wonderful and festive celebration of the roaring ‘20s for our 20th anniversary celebration. Members and their guests outdid themselves when it came to being dressed for their speakeasy evening. Tap dancers danced to Alexander’s Ragtime Band. The Jazz Band played music all evening long and flappers and their dates shimmied and Charlestoned to the wee hours. The gin flowed, the desserts oozed and the music was red hot. So much fun and so many laughs. Thank you to Joan Wendroff and her crew of thousands for making this the most extravagant event in the past few years. A job well done by all.

The year has just begun and we have some wonderful events on the calendar (on our website, too). Here are a few coming up.
