Dateline: October 1, 2014. Shalom Club members are fired up for all of the exciting events coming up this year!
The Shalom Club kicked off the year by attending Kinky Boots! On September 14 many members gathered for dinner at Riazzi’s before proceeding to the hit Broadway show. The night was full of good food, laughs, songs and dancing. The Gammage is always wonderful and entertaining.
The September 21 meeting welcomed everyone back from their summer vacations, visits and hibernations! We served a delicious celebratory cake followed by an informative and interesting talk by Jaime Stern of the Arizona Jewish News. Our club thanks her for joining us and speaking to our members.
The Shalom Club agenda of upcoming events is very full. Each activity is more exciting than the previous one. The events are always an affair to remember. Here is a partial list of what we are all looking forward to:
October 4: Annual Break the Fast at 6:45 p.m. in Eagle’s Nest Dining Room; $18 for members and $28 for nonmembers and guests, $12 for children. Contact Tanya Miller at [email protected] for more information.
October 10: Monthly Book Club at 10:00 a.m. at Tuscany Clubhouse. The Sisters Weiss by Naomi Ragen will be the topic of discussion. Contact Arlene Silverman for further information at [email protected].
October 19: General Meeting at Eagle’s Nest Ballroom at 6:30 p.m.
November 1: Progressive Dinner at 5:00 p.m.; a three course meal for our traveling diners. Enjoy gourmet recipes from our own cookbook that will prepared at the homes of many of our members. Look for further details on our website: www.pcshalomclub.org.
We have another annual Chanukah party celebration planned on December 21. This will be followed by a wonderful gala event in early 2015 that will knock your socks off.
