The PebbleCreek Sewing Club was busy on March 5 making cargo shorts for boys to be donated to Samaritan’s Purse for their Operation Christmas Child ministry. These shorts will be placed in shoe boxes along with other gifts for children.

Join us on April 2 at 9 a.m. for our next charity sewing class. The club will be making fidget mats to donate to charity. These lap mats are designed to provide tactile stimulation and engagement for individuals with conditions like dementia or autism, helping to soothe agitation, reduce anxiety, and keep hands busy.

Calling all those who serge! On April 16, at 9 a.m., join the sewing club to make a thread catcher. A thread catcher is a mat that sits under a serger with a pocket that hangs over the table to catch what is trimmed off. What an inventive idea!

If you would like to attend either of these classes, please contact Kathy Brown at [email protected].

On the Wednesdays with no classes, the room is available to those who want to come and sew on their own from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. On class days, the room is open for free sewing from noon to 4 p.m.
