On Jan. 8, the annual meeting of the PebbleCreek Sewing Club was held to elect new officers for 2025. The new board members are as follows: Co-Presidents are Kathy Brown and JoEllen Cruze, Secretary is Mary Ann Boffey, and Publicity is Lisa Reichert. These ladies are working on a schedule to provide fun sewing projects for the club on a monthly basis and also work on projects that go directly to numerous charitable organizations.
Later in the afternoon on Jan. 8, seven Sewing Club members were busy sewing a WeeBraw Bag in a class taught by Mary Ann Boffey. Participants were Sue Whaples, Edna DeFord, Jody Anderson, Mary Sabatello, Hiromi Bashore, Barbara Rzeszowski, and Cathy Howell.
The PC Sewing Club is proud to announce that last year they donated a total of 234 items that were made by members and were distributed to 6 different charitable organizations. The new board is already planning more scheduled sewing events for charities, as well as some fun craft projects members can take home for themselves or give as gifts.
The PC Sewing Club meets every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Fiber Arts room at the Creative Arts Center. The first and the third Wednesday of the month, the club will be working on a project until noon. After that, the room is available for open sewing until 4 p.m.
On the remaining Wednesdays, the room is open all day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you are interested in learning more about the PC Sewing Club, joining in one of the planned sewing projects, or just using the room to work on your own project, contact Kathy Brown at [email protected].
Come join us on February 5, you will love the project we are working on because it will be a Valentine’s project.
