Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the PebbleCreek Democratic Club held a weekly Saturday morning breakfast gathering at Eagle’s Nest, and Jess Branch was their regular waitress. The group took a special liking to Jess back then, as the crowd was always seated in her station, and she was speedy, efficient, and very nice. Many members of the group were servers at some point in their lives, so they are especially appreciative of how challenging that can be.
On March 13, several members met for breakfast at Eagle’s Nest for the first time in a year. There was Jess Branch, happy to help. She and her significant other are expecting their first baby in early April (it may have already arrived prior to this publication), so the Dems got her a baby gift and had their picture taken with her outside. The baby, a boy already named Jude, was due April 6. Everyone was inoculated and wore masks, and the wait staff was masked and gloved all the time. Once members are again comfortable with groups and back inside, it’ll be an all-comers event again, usually averaging 20-plus members and guests at breakfast and welcoming Jess back from maternity leave!
