The Regional Cooking Day celebrates family recipes from all over Italy. These same wonderful recipes have been put together in the club’s new cookbook. The cookbook is entitled Favorites from our Table. Favorite recipes include: Appetizers and Beverages, Soups and Salads, Vegetables and Side Dishes, Main Dishes, Breads and Rolls, Desserts, Cookies and Candy and something called This and That. To whet your appetite, an example in each category is provided: Appetizers—Garlic Tomato Bruschetta, Beverages—Limoncello, Soups—Dody’s Chicken Soup, Salad-Sicilian Chopped Salad, Vegetables—Tuscan-Style Roasted Asparagus, Side Dishes—Oven Baked Risotto, Main Dishes—Braciole (Beef Roll Ups), Bread—Zucchini Bread, Desserts—Banana Ricotta Pudding and Cookies/Candy—Biscotti di Cioccolata E Noce (Chocolate-Walnut Biscotti) and finally This n’ That—Stromboli Sandwiches. You can taste the Nonas and Mamas love in these generational recipes.
Now that you’ve had a taste of the wonderful recipes, your copy of Favorites from our Table is available by contacting Joan Suriano at either 623 266 0388 or [email protected]. The cost is $10 each, payable by cash or check (checks need to be made out to PCIAC).
