Russ Galewski – Candidate for HOA Board of Directors

Candidate Russ Galewski

Candidate Russ Galewski

During November 2017 PebbleCreek will again be electing a homeowner volunteer member to the HOA Board of Directors. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the residents of PebbleCreek that I have not already met and at the same time inform all residents of my qualifications to continue to fill the post as a Homeowner Volunteer to the HOA Board.

My name is Russ Galewski. My wife, Diane, and I moved to PebbleCreek in December 1998, Lot 9, Unit 14. I continued working for the Metal Improvement Company until June 2007 when I retired from the post of Senior Vice President of Operations for North American Shot Peening Facilities – if you are interested you can learn more about shot peening here. I was responsible for top line and bottom line performance for 24 factories.

After my retirement I served on the PebbleCreek Finance Committee as the liaison to the Golf Committee. While continuing to serve on the Finance Committee, until the committee was disbanded, I also served as chairperson of the Golf Committee for four years until I stepped down in 2014. I then was appointed to the post of vice chair of the Golf Committee by Lyman Gallup, the new Golf Committee Chair. As I continued on the Golf Committee I was also selected to serve on the Strategic Planning Committee until December 2016 when the committee ceased to exist.

Early in 2017, Sherry Gonzales resigned from the board and I was ultimately selected to fill the remaining time of Sherry’s term.

During the interview process prior to my selection as Sherry Gonzales’s successor I was asked why I wanted to serve on the PebbleCreek Board. My response was, in the workplace I had broad based management experience and for many years I was an active volunteer on multiple PebbleCreek committees. Additionally, I added, the HOA Board was not highly thought of by the residents and I wanted to work toward improving that image.

My mantra is, “Plan your work and work your plan.” I believe, we — RCI reps to the Board, our General Manager, our Finance people, Bob Parks and myself -— have started the process of becoming more proactive and less reactive through more focus on planning our work.”

I ask for your support and your vote to the post of Homeowner Volunteer to the HOA Board of Directors in the election of November 2017.

All other declared candidates have the option to publish bios and platforms in the October edition of the PebbleCreek Post.
