Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary Hosts Casino Night for DPIL Project
Julie Frentz
On Jan. 9, Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary (GYPC) Foundation held their second annual Casino Night fundraiser at the Tuscany Ballroom. Attendees enjoyed playing blackjack, bingo, craps, poker, and roulette, using their winnings for fabulous prizes!
Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary Foundation, a 501(c)(3) entity, supports a variety of community projects, including the Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL). Through The Dolly Parton Imagination Library, children from birth to age 5 receive an age-appropriate book a month to promote literacy at home. The Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary Foundation enrolls and pays the enrollment fees for families living within specific zip codes in the West Valley. The cost of sponsoring one child for a year is $31. Since May of 2021, the Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary has provided more than 62,000 books to almost 3,000 children. Through this project, Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary supports family and child literacy, which is critical for school success.
Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary Foundation would like to thank all who attended Casino Night. Because of your generosity, $5,268 was raised to support the DPIL program. Your enthusiasm, generosity, and full participation made for a fabulous evening! Mark your calendars for Jan. 22, 2027, for the third annual GYPC Casino Night!
