The PebbleCreek Women’s Roadrunner team finished their season on March 30 at Eagle’s Nest Golf Course with an impressive showing. They tied for low gross that day with Briarwood’s team. It was a great finish to a wonderful season.
The members of PebbleCreek’s team are Sue Abercrombie, Kittie Day, Marti Clark, Ellen Enright, Mary Falso, Mary Harris, Kathy Hubert/Wyss, Monica Lee, Chanca Morrell, Vicki Norrie, Barbara Patrow, Marilyn Reynolds and Amber Rivera. The Roadrunner League is made up of low handicap women golfers from seven golf courses in the Phoenix area. Those golf courses include Anthem, Briarwood, Desert Mountain, Red Mountain Ranch, Superstition Mountain, Tonto Verde and PebbleCreek. Red Mountain Ranch finished with Low Gross for the season and Tonto Verde finished with Low Net for the season.
The format for the Roadrunner play dates is four-ball (best ball of two partners) stroke play. Winners are honored at each play date and plaques are awarded to the season low gross and low net winners. The PebbleCreek Roadrunner team is co-captained by Mary Harris and Marilyn Reynolds. They are pleased to announce that an eighth team will be added to the league in the 2015-2016 season. The eighth team will be Wildfire at Desert Ridge. Seasons span from November to April each year. Next year promises to be another great experience for the PebbleCreek Roadrunner team.
