‘Riverdance’ Dazzles and Delights Irish American Club Members!

Amy Volstromer

On May 7, 67 Irish American Club members were transported, both literally and figuratively, by bus to the Mesa Art Center for the 25th anniversary performance of Riverdance. A relaxing bus trip, complete with snacks and beverages, was followed by an energetic one-of-a-kind performance of Riverdance. Thank you to club members Kyle and Melissa Addington, American Wealth Advisers, for generously supplying the snack bags and beverages.

The first full Riverdance show opened at the Point Theatre in Dublin on Feb. 9, 1995, and the sell-out show ran for five weeks. Since Riverdance began performances in 1995, the show has traveled 700,000 miles (or to the moon and back and back again)! Our members were happy to witness their special 25th anniversary performance!
