Retiring President to Discuss Pet Companions Club Changes

Jim Ellison

Jim Ellison, President

The Pet Companions Club of PebbleCreek will hold its first regular membership meeting of the fall on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024. We will meet at 3 p.m. in Room 100 of the Eagles Nest Activities Center. All PebbleCreek residents, whether club members or not, are invited to attend.

Jim Ellison, President of the Pet Companions Club, will be discussing the Pet Companions Club transition as he prepares to retire in December as the club president. As the new Board of Directors takes over, there will be changes in how the PebbleCreek community interacts with the Pet Companions Club. This will include new officers on our board and whom residents will contact in various situations.

The Pet Companions Club was founded in 1997 as a club for PebbleCreek pet owners. The club transitioned into an IRS approved Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Animal Rescue Organization with an effective date of July 9, 2004. The Pet Companions Board of Directors has experienced frequent turnover over the years. Half of our Board of Directors is elected each year. This year we are electing the President, Treasurer, and two Directors at Large with nominations due at our November meeting. This will result in at least two new members joining the board.

It is very important that the PebbleCreek Community continue to support the Pet Companions Club during this transition on our Board of Directors. We will need your help in some areas, so please come to our meeting prepared with your questions, comments and ideas.

Please address any questions to Jim Ellison at 623935-6651.
