Casper (Theodore) was found running in PebbleCreek on the Tuscany Falls side on March 27, 2026. Bruce, our dog rescuer, looked for him for two hours in the morning, and then again around 6 p.m. He never caught sight of this little white dog, despite multiple sightings. Casper was a runner!
Residents Jen Chase and Tony Olson saw Casper on the golf course behind their home, and they were off on their golf carts to catch him! Casper must have been tired from running in the heat, and he gave up and let them take him home.
Casper is a 1-year-old dog, possibly a poodle-bichon mix. He was not neutered, and he had an intense high level of energy.
Such a cute dog, groomed about a month before, would surely be missed, we thought. We put him into foster care and posted him as a found dog with no results. We have to wait 72 hours before adopting, and we waited a week to get him neutered and microchipped (did his vaccines as well). The day after we neutered him the owner reached out to us. She lives over by the Cal Ranch store, and her dog had gotten out just over a week before. It is amazing that this dog ran all the way from there to PebbleCreek without being hit by a car or grabbed by a coyote! He is a very lucky boy!
Casper (his real name is Theo or Theodore) was reunited with his owner on April 6. His joy at seeing his mom was amazing, and she was so very thankful to get him back unharmed.
