The PebbleCreek Republican Club (PCRC) is supporting two projects that will have an impact in our armed services community and on the 2022 elections.
Camille Grabb, PCRC Special Projects co-chair, is partnering with her neighbor Sharon Kozak on the Food Bank and Diaper Dump Station project that helps the Airmen at Luke Air Force Base (LAFB). Sharon is the LAFB Community Support coordinator and member of the Community Action Team at the base. Recently, the team identified the need for food and baby products that will help the airmen and their families during the COVID pandemic. You can drop off canned or boxed goods that are unopened, not expired, and do not need refrigeration or have a shelf life. Diapers and wipes are much appreciated. Please do not donate creams or powders. Grocery store gift cards will also help the airmen at LAFB. Drop items at: Camille Grabb, 3347 N. 159th Avenue or Sharon Kozak, 3350 N. 159th Avenue.
Jim Lamon was the guest speaker at the PebbleCreek Republican Club monthly meeting held at the Bullard Wash Amphitheater on March 6. Jim Lamon is founder and chairman of DEPCOM Power that designs, builds, and operates solar power plants across America and is headquartered in Scottsdale. Jim grew up on an Alabama farm, played football at the University of Alabama under Coach “Bear” Bryant, and graduated with a civil engineering degree. After graduation, he served six years as a U.S. Army officer, where he earned his airborne wings, served overseas, and was twice awarded the Army Commendation Medal. He has built his company into one of the largest engineering-construction businesses in the power industry in America. Jim is a Christian, father, grandfather, and strong conservative. He enjoys philanthropic work, travel, weightlifting, and yoga.
Jim is spearheading the AZ51 Voter Project in our state. The effort is to regain the U.S. Senate seat in 2022 for Arizona. Jim has personally donated money to fund this project that focuses on registering Republican voters. The goal is to provide a Republican majority in the U.S. Senate—the 51st vote. AZ51 is looking for individuals to work on this project and will provide training, branding, and marketing for events. The PebbleCreek Republican Club provides an environment for Republican fellowship and discussion, and to serve as an educational forum for Republican ideas and principles. Due to gathering restrictions in PebbleCreek’s facilities, monthly meetings that are usually held in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom are being held outdoors at the Bullard Wash Amphitheater or via Zoom. If you are interested in joining the club, contact Linda Kesselman, membership chair at [email protected]. You can also visit www.pebblecreekrepublicanclub.com for information about the club.
