Republican Club Welcomes Two Important Speakers

Patricia Moore

At our March meeting we will hear from the third Republican candidate for Arizona Attorney General, Warren Peterson. Warren has been the Arizona State Senate President for four years and has served in the Arizona Legislature since 2012, first being elected to the Arizona House of Representatives before joining the State Senate. He earned his bachelor’s degree from ASU, and his Juris Doctor degree from ASU Law. He passed the Arizona Bar in 2020 and is a licensed attorney. As senate president, he has focused on defending state laws, ensuring fairness and accountability in government, safeguarding public safety, and preserving Arizona’s constitutional freedoms. President Petersen has been a leading advocate for limited government, fiscal responsibility, reduced regulation, and policies that strengthen Arizona’s economy while protecting individual liberty.

We will also welcome Greg Blackie, Deputy Director of Policy at the Arizona Free Enterprise Club, a leading voice in Arizona politics. Greg is our eyes and ears at the state capital, providing updates, action alerts, and recommendations on how to make our voices heard on bills that are coming up in our state house and senate. With the information he shares we are not just more informed about legislation being proposed by our representatives, but we learn how we can take action on such legislation through the Request to Speak program of AZ Free. He will share important proposed current legislation of which we must be aware. We are looking forward to hearing from both of these dynamic speakers.

Our meeting will be held in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom on Thursday, March 5. Social Time is at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting is at 7 p.m.
