Republican Club Plans a Busy Election Year

The new year 2022 promises to be filled with election enthusiasm; circle Tuesday, Nov. 8 on your calendar! The PebbleCreek Republican Club (PCRC), honored as The Best Republican Club in all of Arizona, is organizing many opportunities for you to be a well-informed, educated, and knowledgeable voter.

President Sue Harrison welcomes newly elected Vice President Patricia Moore, Secretary Susan Bergstrom, and Treasurer Linda Sweet.

Meetings are held the first Thursday of the month in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. Here are some upcoming gatherings in the month of January.

The Thursday, Jan. 6 meeting will feature the candidates for corporation commissioner, Doug Little, Nick Myers, Kim Owens, and Kevin Thompson. In addition, Professor Nick Damask will present the topics for his winter lecture series that begins on Wednesday, Jan. 19, from 7 to 9 p.m. Finally, LouAnn Sedgwick will be there to discuss the AZ Voter ID Initiative. It promises to be an informative meeting.

The club’s Conservative Book Club will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 11, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Members are reading In Trump Time: A Journal of America’s Plague Year by Dr. Peter Navarro. Please RSVP by Jan. 10 to Indy Rebhun at 805-660-0243 if you wish to get further details and join in the discussion.

The Men’s Breakfast Club will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 11, in the Eagle’s Nest dining room alcove. Contact Doug Krause at [email protected] if you wish to attend.

The Women’s Luncheon will start at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12 in the Eagle’s Nest dining room alcove. Contact Social Chair Cindy Zaklan at [email protected] if you wish to attend.

On Saturday, Jan. 29, a bonus meeting will be held in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. Social time is 1:30 p.m., and the meeting starts at 2 p.m. Speakers will be Gubernatorial Candidate Karrin Taylor Robson and U.S. Senate Candidate Mick McGuire.

Further ahead, the Feb. 3 meeting will feature the candidates for superintendent of public instruction, Kim Fisher, Tom Horne, Shiry Sapir, and Michelle Udall. School board candidates for the Litchfield Elementary School District and Agua Fria School Districts will also be in attendance.

Whew! There are lots of opportunities to look over, listen to, and learn along with what you hear and read on the TV, radio, and internet, so you’ll be able to cast an informed vote in the November 2022 election.
