The PebbleCreek Republican Club continues to host Professor Nick Damask’s winter 2021 lecture series via Zoom for our members.
Who is Professor Nick? Nicholas Damask, PhD, received his MA in international relations from The American University in Washington DC and his BA and PhD in political science from the University of Cincinnati, where he concentrated in contemporary political violence—his doctoral dissertation was on the subject of terrorism. He is the only tenured political science faculty currently teaching in Arizona to write a doctoral dissertation on terrorism.
Dr. Damask is a full-time professor of political science at Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale, Ariz., a position he has held for 23 years. He was a Salvatori Fellow at The Heritage Foundation in Washington DC and has published numerous articles in academic journals, The Washington Times, World & I magazine, and in local newspapers. He also enjoys science fiction and fantasy and is the author of the St. James Press’ Encyclopedia of Popular Culture entry for Star Wars.
The winter 2021 lectures will continue the format of a five-class series, with each class to be held on Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. The Zoom link will be sent via the Sunday newsletter for you to register online.
Professor Nick will present his content and then will have a Q&A session the last 20 minutes of each class. You may submit questions via the chat box on the Zoom link, and you can submit questions via his email in between sessions.

The PebbleCreek Republican Club provides an environment for Republican fellowship and discussion and serves as an educational forum for Republican ideas and principles. Due to gathering restrictions in PebbleCreek’s facilities, monthly meetings that are usually held in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom are being held outdoors at the Bullard Wash Amphitheater or via Zoom. If you are interested in joining the club, contact Linda Kesselman, membership chair, at [email protected]. You can also visit www.pebblecreekrepublicanclub.com for information about the club.
