The program of the evening was especially timely regarding the importance of the courts in our constitutional Republic. The speaker was Jon Riches, Director of National Litigation for the Goldwater Institute’s Scharf-Norton Center for Constitutional Litigation and General Counsel for the Institute. The presentation was followed by a lively question and answer period.
During the business portion of the meeting President Linda Migliore thanked Bari Cavallo and her committee for the very successful Boots and Diamonds dance held February 4 in the Tuscany Ballroom. It was a fun evening of delicious, hearty food and tapping boots to the great music of Justin Wright, a regular at Waddell’s Longhorn.
The Thursday, April 6 annual luncheon will be held in the Tuscany Falls Chianti Room with an 11:00 a.m. Social Hour followed by lunch at 11:30 a.m. Three delicious luncheon choices include bourbon pork, citrus chicken or spinach and artichoke crepes, all including a California vegetable medley and white chocolate and raspberry mousse for dessert.
The program will be Jeff Dewit, Arizona State Treasurer and 2016 COO of the Trump campaign. Mr. Dewit oversees over 14 billion dollars in state assets and is also the investment manager for local governments.
Reservations at $15 for members, which is subsidized by the club, and $20 for invited guests, are limited. Please contact Bari Cavallo at 720-201-2993 or Linda Migliore at 760-803-9790 for information, tickets and menu choices. The luncheon replaces the evening meeting in April.
