The PebbleCreek Republican Club has planned a Meet the Candidates series. The club invited candidates to speak about their platform and qualifications to serve in a number of public offices, including U.S. Senate, AZ Governor, AZ Secretary of State, AZ Treasurer, Superintendent of Public Instruction, and Corporate Commissioner.
We kicked off the eeries on Sept. 2 in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. The room was filled to capacity as members came to listen to Blake Masters, candidate for U.S. Senate. Blake spoke about his background. He grew up in Tucson, Ariz. and attended Stanford University and Stanford Law School. Masters currently runs Thiel Capital, a multi-billion-dollar firm that invests in new technology companies, and the Thiel Foundation, a nonprofit foundation that promotes science and innovation. He is also a co-author of a New York Times bestseller, Zero to One.
Blake focused on and answered questions about the border, immigration, crime, national defense, gun control, the American worker, big tech, education, and environmental movements.
