Every day, U.S.VETS–Phoenix transforms the lives of veterans facing hardship, helping them regain dignity and independence. The U.S.VETS’ mission is to ensure every homeless veteran finds sustainable housing and receives the support needed to thrive through:
* Safe, transitional housing
* Career and workforce counseling
* Nutritious food, warm shelter, and essential clothing
* Substance abuse counseling and case management
* Life skills training and benefit assistance
Through your generosity, the PebbleCreek Republican Club (PCRC) has helped this need, through its Holiday Giving Project. We have collected gift cards to support resident veterans in the U.S.VETS-Phoenix program and as of Dec. 8, 2025, we exceeded our goal of $5,000 worth of gift cards. These cards are used as rewards for veterans who attend classes, group meetings, and counseling sessions, as well as to help cover personal needs that are not otherwise provided. These gift card contributions directly encourage participation in the vital programs and help veterans address essential needs on their path to independence.
Honoring Veterans
Charlie Kice was the 2025 recipient of the PebbleCreek Republican Club’s Honor Flight AZ sponsorship for veterans. He joined 34 other vets from Arizona for a three-day trip to Washington, D.C., on Nov. 8. They visited all the Service Memorials, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the WWII Memorial, the 9/11 Memorial, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, along with other military related attractions. These honored vets were treated as “Returning Heroes,” which was also very emotional.
The PebbleCreek Republican Club finished the year with 716 members including 138 veterans. On Dec. 4, they reveled at a holiday party featuring RJ Mobile Music to celebrate a successful year. Inducted to the Executive Board was Vicki Streeter, Vice President; Karen Stadjuhar, Secretary; and Arty Bartlett, Membership Chair. The Board thanked Camille Grabb for her 10 years as Membership Chair and Jenna Ridgeway for two years as Communications Chair.
