While PebbleCreek’s clubhouses and gathering venues have been closed, the PebbleCreek Republican Club has continued to stay connected through technology. Many club members quickly became tech savvy with online meeting applications, including Zoom. Zoom has allowed members to stay up-to-date on current events and to discuss important issues.
On July 14, the PebbleCreek Republican Club hosted a Zoom meeting with U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko. Congresswoman Lesko is a conservative candidate running for re-election for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District. She provided information and an update on a variety of topics that included securing upcoming elections in Arizona and across the United States. Congresswoman Lesko spoke at length about protecting Federal statues and memorials, and fielded questions from PC Republican Club members about violence in major cities in the United States. She provided information about IRS procedures to process refunds for mailed-in 2019 tax returns. It is always a pleasure to have Congresswoman Lesko visit with our Club.
The PebbleCreek Republican Club provides an environment for Republican fellowship and discussion, and to serve as an educational forum for Republican ideas and principles. Our monthly meetings are temporarily on hold. When PC facilities are re-opened, meetings will be held on the first Thursday of the month in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom, and guests are welcome. If you are interested in joining the PC Republican Club, please contact Linda Kesselman, membership chair, at [email protected].
