April picnic speaker Larry Schweikart, author of ‘Reagan: The American President’ and ‘Dragonslayers’

Back by popular demand, author Larry Schweikart will be the guest speaker for the club’s spring picnic on April 7. Dr. Schwikert, an American historian, will be introducing (and signing) his latest book, Dragonslayers (Six Presidents and Their War with the Swamp).
Also, on April 12, club members will be boarding a bus for a journey downtown to the Arizona State Capitol, touring the capitol and monuments, meeting with State Representative Joanne Osborne, and witnessing a legislative session in person from the upper gallery.
Classes will be in session for the club’s traditional five-week lecture series featuring Professor Nick Damask. The series is titled: “To Victory: The Election of 2022.” The first class begins on Wednesday, April 20, and they will run until Wednesday, May 18.
