Pub Quiz Nites return

Melissa Kallett

It’s that time again—to challenge your brain and test your knowledge of all things Trivia! It’s time for Pub Quiz Nites at the Eagle’s Nest restaurant on select Saturday evenings from now through the spring. The first Pub Nite is Saturday, January 16.

New this year—tickets are required for this popular event. Cost is $18, but don’t panic as that price includes your buffet dinner (including tax and tip), along with the $2 Trivia Quiz fee. It is essentially the same price as in years past, just all inclusive with payment at one time. Throughout the season tickets will be sold at the Eagle’s Nest Activities Office starting at 8:00 a.m. the Monday morning following each quiz night. Tickets go on sale for the first Quiz Nite on Monday, January 4 at 8:00 a.m. You may sign up and pay for an entire team of eight people or as a single, pair, etc. We’ll match you to a table. Space is limited. Tickets are nonrefundable and ticket holders must be in their seats by 6:00 p.m. or else wait list persons will be given access to your seat.

The buffet dinner on the 16th will be a Chicken Buffet – fried, baked, barbeque and all the trimmings.

Never been to a Pub Quiz Nite? Here’s what you can expect:

– Which Italian composer wrote The Barber of Seville and who is the title character?

– Who was America’s first flapper icon?

– What is the only U.S. state capital named for a Biblical character?

You can play alone—or form a team of up to eight members. Bring your neighbors, bring your guests. Prizes are awarded each night (and we’ve got new ones this season!) and points are accumulated each week to recognize the top team at seasons end.

It’s an evening out where you don’t need to cook, where you can meet new people and where you can have fun. This event usually sells out each week, so secure your ticket early and let the games begin.

Oh yes—the answers (in case you need them)—Rossini/Figaro, Betty Boop, St Paul, Minnesota.
