The final big political P-U-S-H is on for Arizona’s primary election scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 2.

On Saturday morning, June 25, the PebbleCreek Republican Club (PCRC) hosted a “meet and greet” in the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse Ballroom—with chilled juice, fresh coffee, and tasty muffins! The entire room was “abuzz” as approximately 300 residents took this opportunity to mingle up close and personal with 39 candidates running for U.S., state, county, and Goodyear city offices, who will be on the ballot in the primary election.

Scattered throughout the room, candidates had a designated table area where they shared political views, responded to questions, offered take-home printed information, and distributed lawn signs to potential supporters.

Arizona early voting began with ballots mailed, if requested, on July 6.

By the time you’re reading this, it will almost be Election Day! On Election Day, polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. The closest in person voting locations for PebbleCreek residents are:

* The old Goodyear City Hall (190 N. Litchfield Rd.)

* The new Goodyear City Hall (1900 N. Civic Square)

Remember these important guidelines to vote, in person, on Election Day:

* Any registered Maricopa County voter can go to any voting location in Maricopa County, check in, receive a printed ballot, and vote in person.

* If the voter already requested a ballot by mail, that mail-in ballot will be inactivated as soon as the voter checks into a voting location in person.

* Voters must bring ID.

* Upon completing the ballot, voters will insert their ballots directly into the tabulation machine at the voting location.

Men’s Breakfast Club was held on Tuesday, July 12. Republican men meet for breakfast or even just a cup of coffee. The next Men’s Breakfast Club will be on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 8:30 a.m. in Eagle’s Nest dining room alcove. RSVP to Doug Krause at [email protected].
