Jeff Wilson
It is hard to believe that Susan started her clay career just a few years ago by taking the beginning hand-building class here in PebbleCreek. Today, she is producing spectacular and unique large-scale work that she sells out of her home studio and during the December crafts sale sponsored by the Creative Arts Center.
Susan’s inspiration comes from many sources, including contemporary art jewelry and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, which inspired a series of Egyptian-style mask sculptures, some of which are now in collections here in PebbleCreek.
Susan has also been the Pottery/Sculpture Club VP the past few years and has team-taught the clay jewelry classes.
Susan’s sculptures and jewelry are meticulously crafted and admired by all members of the club.
Susan’s work will be in the display case outside of the pottery room in the Creative Arts Center for the entire month of August. While in the Creative Arts Center, be sure to stop in at the Expressions Gallery to see all the beautiful art created by your PebbleCreek neighbors.
