For those who love pickleball and play several times a week, the shutdown of the courts has been an opportunity to explore other kinds of physical activity and fun. A group of women in PebbleCreek have kicked off their court shoes, found their hiking boots, and headed to the hills.

Ellen Enright decided to round up a few friends to hike with her. With poles in hand, plenty of water, and sunglasses, Ellen Enright sported a new hat that says “hike like a girl.” Following CDC guidelines, Ellen said, “We can’t play pickleball, but we can social distance and enjoy local hiking trails. We drive our own car, and while hiking we enjoy each other’s company and get great exercise.”

Kudos to Ellen and her friends for finding a way to stay fit and healthy while the courts are off limits.
