Pet of The Month: Tannie Had a Wonderful Birthday

Hi! My formal name is Yeontan Midnight Autumn Bear, but friends call me Tannie. I am a Pomeranian but often get mistaken for a little bear. I am named after another famous Pomeranian. However, the other parts of my name are from my breeder’s name for me, Midnight, and I was born in autumn.

I have frequent flyer miles due to my journey here to Arizona. I left cold Cleveland last year, flew through Dallas, and arrived in Flagstaff. Sky Harbor was not allowing animals due to COVID-19, so my mom, Barbara Oleck, and her friend Maureen drove up to Flagstaff to pick me up. I was still so excited and not tired at all. I was awake the whole way home, watching the trucks and cars going past. I still love going for rides.

I graduated Puppy Class in June with flying colors. I now attend obedience class, but I don’t really need it. I am a very good doggie. I was going to train for agility, but I don’t have the stamina, so I may become a therapy dog instead.

I just celebrated my first birthday this past September. A doggie swim party was held, and my friends Penny, Chester, and Keewee joined in the fun. My swimming and jumping ability was shown to all. I don’t mind swimming, but I really love to lounge on my raft while my mom pushes me around.

I really like that the cooler temperatures are here now. You will see me walking more often. I love to meet people, so stop and say hello.
